What is the Lecture Collaborative?

The Postdoctoral Fellowship Lecture Collaborative is a Texas Psychological Association-sponsored program designed to connect postdoctoral fellows and training directors across the state. Through a shared lecture series, the Collaborative offers high-quality monthly presentations that help training programs meet APA requirements while fostering a sense of community among fellows—particularly those in smaller programs with limited peer interaction. This initiative serves as both a valuable resource for faculty and a platform for statewide professional connection and development.

Lectures are held on the second Friday of each month from 12:00–1:00 PM CST.

October 10, 2025 — Clinical Supervision of Psychology Trainees with Dr. Ela Ashtari, UTHealth.

November 20–22, 2025 — Live Meetups at the TPA 2025 Conference.

December 12, 2025 — Landing Your First Job: Tips & Tricks with panelists Dr. Funlola Are, UTHealth Houston; Dr. Allex Tellez, Harris County Juvenile Probation Department; and Dr. Jaime Becker, ABPP, Children’s Health Dallas.

January 9, 2026 — Early Career Identity with Dr. William Orme, Houston Methodist.

February 13, 2026 — Data Driven/Measurement-Based Care in Practice with Dr. Michelle Patriquin, PhD, ABPP, UTHealth.

March 13, 2026 — Business & Financing 101 in Psychology with Dr. Kari Leavell, Grapevine Psychology, and Jill West, Scottish Rite Hospital.
