Dr. Stagner is Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University. He founded a multispecialty group practice in College Station, where he has practiced for 35+ years. He’s been active in professional psychology throughout his career. He was Ethics Chair for the TPA (1992-7). He is past chair of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, past president of TPA, and two-term editor of the Texas Psychologist. Nationally, Dr. Stagner was an Associate Member of the APA’s Ethics Committee and a member of the Joint APA/ASPPB Task Force on Licensure Board & Ethics Committees. He currently represents Texas at APA’s Council of Representatives and is a member of APA’s Committee for the Recognition of Specialties and Subspecialties in Professional Psychology.
