Refer a Colleague and Help TPA Grow
TPA members can help strengthen psychology's voice in Texas by inviting a colleague, peer, or student to join. Now through June 30, when your referral becomes a TPA member and lists you on their membership application, both you and the new member will be entered into a drawing for a free TPA Annual Conference registration. Every new member helps grow TPA's statewide network, strengthen advocacy, and build a more connected professional community for psychology in Texas.

Registration for the TPA 2026 Annual Conference opens next month. Make plans to be in Austin November 12–14 for CE credits, professional learning, advocacy, connection, and community with psychologists, students, educators, researchers, and professionals from across Texas. This year’s theme, Cultivating Psychology Through Advocacy, Connection & Community, reflects the opportunities you’ll have to strengthen your knowledge, build meaningful relationships, and engage with the issues shaping the future of psychology in Texas.

June Webinar: Professional Will Essentials: Ethical, Compassionate, and Practical Solutions
TPA's June webinar, Professional Will Essentials: Ethical, Compassionate, and Practical Solutions, will help psychologists plan for unexpected practice interruption or closure with care and ethical responsibility. Led by Robyn B. Miller, PhD, of TheraClosure, this practical workshop will review the clinical, business, and ethical considerations involved in creating a Professional Will, selecting a Practice Executor, protecting patients from traumatic termination, and reducing unnecessary burden on colleagues and family. Join the webinar on Thursday, June 25, from 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. CT and earn 1.5 CE credits.

Student Research and Award Opportunities Are Open
The Texas Psychological Foundation is offering two opportunities to recognize and support psychology students in Texas.
- The TPF Research Competition invites undergraduate and graduate students to submit abstracts for completed research projects and, if selected, present their work on November 14 during the 2026 TPA Annual Conference.
- The TPF Student Awards support exceptional student research and academic achievement through award opportunities designed to fund innovative research, recognize original work, and encourage professional growth.
Both opportunities are open to eligible psychology students in Texas, and recipients or selected participants will be recognized during the TPA Annual Conference in Austin, November 12–14. Submissions are due September 11, 2026.
