Free Webinar: Recognizing and Responding to Human Trafficking: A Trauma-Informed Guide for Psychologists

Psychologists play a critical role in identifying and supporting survivors of human trafficking. This training provides practical tools to recognize warning signs, engage survivors with compassion, and deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. Participants will explore real-world strategies for building trust, supporting recovery, and navigating the ethical and legal challenges unique to these cases. By attending, you’ll not only fulfill 1 human trafficking CE credit but also strengthen your ability to provide meaningful treatment to some of the most vulnerable individuals in our communities.

Changes coming from BHEC for CE Reporting are required starting January 1, 2026.
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council has partnered with CE Broker to become its official continuing education management system. Through this partnership, all licensees will have access to a variety of account options, including a free version, with features to report and track your continuing education hours to help you stay in compliance with CE requirements. Click here to get more information about the services that will be offered.
In the coming weeks, watch for more informational emails about when licensees may begin registering your account with CE Broker and how to do so. The Council will also hold demonstrations at each professional board meeting in September, as well as the Council's October 14 meeting.
In addition, on August 27, CE Broker will host a webinar with Council staff to demonstrate account registration and answer licensee questions. The webinar will cover:
- Activating your CE Broker account;
- Reporting continuing education;
- Finding CE to fulfill your requirements;
- Benefits of each account;
- and will include time for attendees to ask questions.

Starting January 1, 2026, licensees must have created an account and report completion of continuing education hours required during the renewal period before they will be able to renew their license.
Join TPA’s 2025–2026 Postdoctoral Fellowship Lecture Collaborative
TPA is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Postdoctoral Fellowship Lecture Collaborative, a pilot program approved by the TPA Board of Trustees to address critical gaps in programming and member engagement.
This statewide initiative is open to private practices and training sites in Texas that employ postdoctoral fellows. The program will run from September 2025 through August 2026, bringing together fellows and training directors to build community and share resources.
What Is It?
A TPA-sponsored statewide collaborative for training directors and psychologists to jointly develop and deliver 11 monthly CEU-eligible lectures for postdoctoral fellows. These sessions will take place on the second Friday of each month from 12–1 pm (plus an optional in-person meet-up at the TPA Annual Conference).
Why Was This Program Created?
The program directly supports TPA’s strategic goals:
- Creating diverse, research-based learning experiences for members
- Building stronger external partnerships through education and coordinated advocacy
